Call authentication is made using an unbreakable RSA encryption based on a 1024 bit asymmetric key algorithm using a random key. SV GSM is fully compatible with the following Nokia mobile phones: N71, N73, N73 Music Edition, N80, N81, E61, 5228, 5230, 5230 Nuron, 5530 XpressMusic, 5233, 5235 Ovi Music Unlimited, 5250, 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6.Please Note: The Data Call (CSD Line) must be enabled on your SIM card and the phone must be used on a GSM network (UMTS, 3G, CDMA network standards are not currently supported by our Secure Voice GSM). These services may not be available via all operators, and may require separate subscription. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that CSD services are available with their preferred GSM operator.
Secure Voice GSM does not use your cell phone's voice channel but it sends the encrypted voice through the data channel of the cell phone. This brings also the advantage that an attacker who usually monitors the voice channel will not even realise you are communicating with other people! The call costs for encrypted calls are exactly the same as for standard calls. Guaranteed protection from any kind of spy cell phone interceptor. Additional measures are implemented into the Secure Voice GSM software to automatically detect and prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
Please Note: The voice encryption software must be installed on each separate handset to create a 100% guaranteed secure connection. A secure encrypted connection cannot be created between a cell phone which has software installed and a cell phone which does not have software installed.
